About Invisalign®
Invisalign® is a technologically advanced orthodontic solution which uses a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners to straighten your teeth. All patients are reviewed regularly by Dr Mark Peddey throughout their Invisalign® treatment. At these appointments you will be issued with your next set of aligners until your teeth are moved into the final position that Dr Peddey has prescribed.
Commonly, the number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but treatment time and number of aligners varies from case to case.
Invisalign® has a shorter program length than traditional orthodontic solutions. Treatment averages 12 – 18 months.There are no restrictions on your diet as the aligners are not fixed and they can be easily removed for eating. Essentially, you can remove your appliance whenever you choose, allowing you to eat, drink, brush and floss as normal. The non-fixed nature of this product also means there are no negative effects on the gums and supporting tissue.
Upon completion of your Invisalign® treatment you will need to continue wearing your Invisalign® retainer for a set amount of hours each day.
This proprietary treatment system is only offered by approved dental providers who have been trained in Invisalign® systems. Dr Mark Peddey is a certified Invisalign® provider. Treatments range from between $5900 up to $7900 depending upon the number of aligners that you require.

What is possible with Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is successful in treating over crowded or widely spaced teeth. It is also possible to manage more complex problems with Invisalign® such as cross-bites, over-bites and under-bites. In fact, because Dr Mark Peddey is an Invisalign® certified dentist, he can potentially recommend Invisalign® clear aligners for most treatment plans.

Who qualifies for Invisalign®?
Who is a candidate for Invisalign®?
Invisalign® can be used to treat the vast majority of common problems for adults and teens. It is a cosmetically focused treatment with the added benefit of being a relatively invisible solution.
The clear aligners will not draw undue attention to your mouth while in treatment. Whether your smile needs minor improvements or more extensive adjustments, Invisalign® may be the solution for you.
Not everyone though is suitable for Invisalign®. Dr Peddey will make treatment recommendations after an examination and consultation with you.
Who is not a candidate for Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is NOT a substitute for comprehensive orthodontics.
There are patients for whom the Invisalign® treatment system is usually not the most appropriate option.
These include:
- Patients who would see a significant cosmetic benefit by undergoing comprehensive orthodontics
- Patients needing significant orthodontic correction
- Patients who want their facial profile changed
- Patients with active dental or periodontal disease with significant bone loss
- Patients wanting a perfect orthodontic result
